Melody of Hope (Show #4)

#MelodyOfHope (Video Below)

There are not enough notes in the world to sing and play, to praise the Lord. When our hearts seek the Lord and His ways, we find that there is no other song to sing. He fills our lives, overflowing with hope. He makes melody within our hearts to return to Him in praise. He is our light and our song, to whom shall we fear?

“You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.” #‎Psalm27.8 The reason we sing is to lift sung prayers to God. He hears every note, every chord and feels every rhythm. “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” #‎1Chron16.11 “Hope looks toward the future.

Trust looks to the present. Hope expects. Trust possesses…what prayer needs, at all times, is abiding and abundant trust.” – EM Bounds The more we allow God to work in our lives, the more music is written upon our hearts. So much we cannot contain it. Along with #‎Jeremiah20.9 we say: “there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot.” The Lord is our refuge, He is our voice.

The more we seek Him, the more we are found by Him. The more we listen to Him, the more we hear His song over us. The more we hear His melody, the more we sing it back to him in a never ending cycle of worship and giving thanks.

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” #‎Psam28.7 [ctt template=”10″ link=”BW5cf” via=”no” ]He calls, we respond. It’s the beautiful nature of God to comfort His people.[/ctt] Are we taking time to hear His words today + how are we truly hearing him? We call – He answers #‎Psalm145.18 “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” We stretch our hands – He is there #‎Psalm77.10 “Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.” We need His word – He speaks #‎2Sam23.2 ““The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me; his word was on my tongue.” We need his help – He shows the way #‎Psalm33.20 “We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.”

He desires mercy and not sacrifice. His mercy must come first. Quality over quantity. The Lord is serious about the sincerity of our praise. Time is not important to Him; he holds everything together. [ctt template=”10″ link=”2c6L3″ via=”no” ]God is not interested in what we can do for Him, He desires what He can do through us.[/ctt] We sing of the ways of God as his praise is always upon our lips.

His songs are our delight, as we find our refuge in Him. Not in the things we do, or the things we obsess; God wants our focus and full attention to be upon Him. Your heart with God is the most precious time you can spend. The gift he gives of Himself is truly a blessing.

We give God thanks through the works of His hands, how they enter our souls and step out into real life. Always remember the One who holds all time in His hands. He calls you and I to worship. In this moment. What is your response? In the way God speaks to us, we want to hear it again. His melody of love is never ending. May we too hang on every note of comfort, while we rest in constant hope.

Reflection: How can God strengthen your trust, moving you into a deeper cycle of prayer and song? May we abide in His melodies that sing a song of hope and a tune of abundant trust.
