Proclaim 2.0 ?????

By Branon Dempsey of Worship Team Training You have plenty of things to do. Sitting for long hours in front of a computer screen is not one of them. Want an easy and elegant presentation software that won’t slow you down, but will lift you up?

Try the new Proclaim 2.0 Church Presentation Software! In this review, we will cover some standard features and new modifications you will find in brand new Proclaim 2.0.

Slide Design
First you will notice a smoother and defined screen view of the program. The familiar yet new look of the dashboard and editing windows make Proclaim more efficient and focused. Pick an array of standard templates,
Holidays, and Events. Try your own style.

*New Feature: Multi-Select Service Item in Editing –
Now you can create/edit multiple presentations for different worship services. Let’s say it’s the same message at the 8.30am and 10.30am services, but you want different songs and/or backgrounds to existing songs. Just duplicate the original service to a new presentation. To change the song background, hold shift and click the last slide you want to edit.

Control click the individual slides you want, select/change all the backgrounds in Media Browser – all at once – without having to go through each individual item.

*New Feature: Drag and Drop
Want to use your own background image and want to drag and drop? Now you can. Open any sermon, song, or item slide.

Open your folder of images you wish to select, drag and drop them into Proclaim – just like that! You can move and resize them accordingly to your slide. There’s no reformatting as Proclaim keeps the look beautifully of your drag and drop images.

Make better planning and create more music
*New Feature: Faithlife Music Integration – This new feature makes song selection more intuitive, fun and engaging. Create a song slide, select your tune or import from CCLI or Planning Center. Once you choose your song, there will be a Faithlife Music icon that will illuminate.

Click the Faithlife Music icon and it will provide song details on theme, Biblical references, and music details such as style, meter and first line lyric. Plus, corresponding media resources will appear at the bottom the song to create additional presentational experiences and/or song study for your next service planning.

Click on the song’s Bible references and you will see multiple and cross references to help you lock in your song to the sermon message. Plus you can identify other references and songs to help further planning write down to the letter.

*New Feature: Song Reporting for Copyright – What worship leader or pastor likes song reporting? Well, now Proclaim does. Automatically Proclaim will track every song you choose and store your service song history ready to report in a snap to CCLI, without leaving your cup of coffee.

Plus the new Song History feature is visibly better than PCO, plus it retains all the song’s references and details as mentioned above. Making your next service could not be easier!

Better Planning Center Integration – As noted above, you can automatically import your entire service from PCO into Proclaim with one click. It will pull the song order, individual songs, plus it will carry over your Verse, Chorus sequences.

This function is my top fave; you can create your service as normal in PCO, export and watch how Proclaim maintains your layout, lyrics and all song details in a perfectly mirrored. If you have to edit/add any slide to your song, you have complete control as you would over a word processor.

Make Your Sermon Jump Off the Screen!

*New Feature: Record Your Own Sermons – You can now record, edit and share your sermons SoundFaith, iTunes, or your own church website with ease! Have your sound engineer link the audio from your mike feed to go into your computer > to Proclaim and adjust your device under the “audio” tab.

Adding Recording Cues: Go to the “Recordings” tab, select “Start Recording” and drag it over to the left vertical slide column just above where you want your sermon to record.

Select “Stop Recording” drag and place this command after your desired stopping point. While you’re at it, drop in a few Bible verses to Signal people – as they are logged into Faithlife to receive a ping on their device to look at the highlighted Scripture reading. When you go “On Air,” through Proclaim, your sermon will begin recording to your computer at your designated cues.

You can always pause or stop the recording on the fly during the service without leaving the presentation. Proclaim will record your audio message directly with your sermon slides! Imagine that!!

You can also edit the audio file if you need to trim or make cuts. Then publish your sermon to your Faithlife Church Group, your church website, your Faithlife TV channel, SoundFaith.com or iTunes for the world to hear!

Add favorite Bible Passages instantly with a broad search that connects all your Faithlife platforms into one place. Easy auto-formatting saves you seconds for compiling Scriptures for a great sermon.  Display sharper details to your church by allowing Proclaim to show references on the first text slide, show the Bible version, include words of Christ in red, include verse numbers and include section headings – all by a newly improved list of clickable options.

You can also click to look up more passages to Biblia.com through Proclaim. The On-Screen Bible is familiar with most Proclaim users, yet still offers a very creative way of displaying animated Scriptures.

Share any slide in your presentation with one click. Post your service announcement slide to your Faithlife Group to remind them of the upcoming event, share a key Bible verse by posting a Bible slide to social media, or even save a slide to your desktop to be added to your print bulletin. Transitions? Customize both your slide transition effect and transition duration to set the tone and pace of your service.

Simple Volunteer Training
Built into the new 2.0 Proclaim, you will also find Presentation Video Tutorials to help you dive deeper into Getting Started, How To Record Sermons, How To Create Slides and How To Use the On-Screen Bible.  Great for first time volunteers and users who may not be as familiar with Proclaim. The Faithlife Team made learning Proclaim a breeze.

Proclaim also develop some live screen features to appeal to your church during the sermon. On the fly, the Proclaim operator can show fly-in screen text to interact with the congregation. Show an “Amen!” screen shot, or custom make your own – works great with impromptu announcements.

Other Standard features with Proclaim includes:
