God Wants Your Prayers
Prayers From the Flood (Devotional Series 1) Hurricane Harvey and the Texas Floods August 25-28, 2017 God wants your prayers. It comes from the understanding that you are not your own. This discovery is foundational in your identity: you are a child of God. He hears your prayers because you are His kid.
He knows the voices of His children, thus He will never turn away. Neither will His great love deny us nor refuse us. He knows you deeper than the seas. No matter the depth, no matter the distance on the face of the earth, His ear is ever bent toward you because you are his kid. Therefore, run to Him in your prayers and seek His face.
What’s keeping you from doing this right now? He is ever present and loves to listen, while holding the tears of His children. And yet, even when He is silent, He answers because he is always listening.
