JARED SHEPARD / The Pressures Of A Worship Leader 12-19-19

Worship Does Not Depend On You, But God.
Gaining Perspective Above The Pressures

Jared Shepard

Does It Matter How Many Hands Are Raised in Worship?

Leading worship is not just leading the music. The pressures are real, leading a ministry is hard. Where there are struggles, there is also God’s help. Learn what it means to let God have the pressures as He leads you in His paths of wisdom and peace.

The Pressures of a Worship Leader
  • What are pressures today?
  • Have our church services turned into worship karaoke?
  • What are some of the pressures you’ve seen and experienced? How do you personally balance ministry, and do the leaders/pastors in your church help you?
  • If everything was stripped for you today, would you still be seen a leader of your church and why?
  • Hero Maker – book
  • Insecurity / be ok with who you are
  • Great worship does not equal great success / great success does not equal great worship leaders
  • Do not rob a God of his glory
  • Raise up others in your team. Celebrate the vision God gave you
  • How do you work through the tough spots?
  • Rest in the identity of Christ in you. Work and rest in the labor of what God is doing through you.
  • In the Bible, the word “Rest” is also the same word as worship. Rest is also the same as celebrating (Psalm 37.1-5)
  • Affirmation feast on God
  • We can’t do what has already been done for us
  • Ego is overrated
  • Humility is the antidote of pressure
