No Fear

Songs are more than just notes from the page and sounds from our instruments and voices. Just as melodies reflect the heart, the words from our songs reflect our prayers. How can God use the power of song as a tool to overcome fear, while we worship Him to sing for joy? “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear.” -Ps. 46.1 God is our ever-present help when we need Him. Our world may be rocked but God isn’t.

Through trials, He is always there. We can put our trust fully in Christ. Even if everything around us fails, God doesn’t. We can become overwhelmed with frustrations and struggles, that is when we can always turn to God. Our worship songs can become the cry of our hearts towards God because He alone is our strength.

“Sing for joy to God our strength.” -Ps. 81.1 Here are a few other songs from Scripture that can fill the heart to overcome fear: #‎Prov29.25 reminds us: “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” A mind that trusts is a heart at peace. #‎Isa26.23 Are you willing to lose everything, yet gain everything and more than what your holding on to? #‎1Cor3.11 #‎Lk9.25.

We see things like a download, we want it instantly. But I have learned that patience never grows cold, it only grows hotter and brighter. God knows our every need, His promises are never slack. The Lord does not want us to be confused by this present world of fear and the unknown.

Here’s what we do know: “…be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” #‎Heb13.5 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” #‎Phil4.8 Here’s Who we know, in these times of the unknown: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart!

I have overcome the world.” #‎John16.33 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. #‎1Thess5.23 “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” #‎2Cor1.20 What we need is the Savior, to remind us of the things we need and to let go of the things we may want.

It’s the Eternal things of the human heart that God can truly satisfy. [ctt template=”10″ link=”qcW1r” via=”no” ]Be led to the Rock and rest on the foundation of Christ.[/ctt] We can stand, fearless, in the midst of trials because God is our refuge. The Lord is near us whenever we pray to him. -Deut. 4.7
