Piano:
- Rearranging familiar contemporary songs
- The Two Chord: Fingerings 1, 2, 5
- Major 7th Chords 1, 3, 5, 7 / or / 1 , 2, 5, 7
- Simplify the Chords to make music pleasing to the ear
- Stay out of the melody’s way
- Rearrange the song with respect to the melody / don’t clash the chords
- Diversify the Rhythm / Practice with Pulse
Guitar:
- Experiment with new/concept chords
- Spread out the strumming patterns to create textures
- Use dynamics
