Is Worship Leadership Divided or Demonstrated?

If #worship is a response, how are we responding as #leaders?
In other words, how is our #worshipleading directing from the right heart, thought and platform. Is there only one way to lead worship, or by one earthly paradigm or role model?

When it comes to leading #Church #ministry and #worship how are we lifting up and shining on both male and female leaders as one by living-out what Jesus said: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” – Matt. 5.14

1. As a women church leader, what is most important to you about worship leadership?
2. How do you work through the neglect, lack of support and how can we turn this around?
3. What do you do to encourage others about uprising leadership – for both male and female, how can we share ministry and life together as One?
4. How can we change our perspective and help be in influence to others?

Love Demonstration

Jesus never dominated his rule, He demonstrated His love. Are we doing likewise?
When Jesus spoke in Matthew 5.14, was it only subjected to a certain selected few, or to all people and generations that have yet to be created? In that audience, there is both male and female, as well as follower and leader.

If we as the “Church” are to be One in Christ (Rom 12.5), One in the Spirit, mind and the Body (Eph 4.4), why are we not leading as one, but leading divided (1 Cor. 1.13)?

As we think about worship and service, maybe it’s time for a fundamental rethink how we interpret what the Bible says regarding women leading and participating fully in Jesus’ Kingdom.

How We Can Start

And we can start by looking at common ways we misinterpret the Bible in this are: Thinking women are secondary to male leaders man and woman were created by God to be in community and to Image the Godhead.

In genesis 1:26–27, God said, “let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule … so God created humankind in his own image … male and female he created them.” Genesis 3:22 states, “and the Lord God said, ‘the man has now become like one of Us.’”

God is a plural, dynamic reality, not a singular, static one. within God’s self, there is giving and receiving, affecting and being affected—mutuality. the creation of man and woman reflects the community of our triune God.

Changing For The Better

Overlooking how Jesus called women in a culture where women were forbidden to study the Torah, Jesus invited them to “sit at His feet.” (luke 10:38-42).

So why the current focus on a few restrictive texts, namely 1 timothy 2:12, which says, “women should learn quietly and submissively. I do not let women teach men or have authority over them” and 1 corinthians 14:34, which says, “women should be silent during the church meetings. it is not proper for them to speak.”

We Are All One In Christ

But make no mistake about it, there’s a movement of the Spirit. when God moves, the impossible becomes possible (luke 18:27). God said, “let us make human beings in our image, after our likeness. and let them have dominion” (genesis 1:26). Jesus said, “it is finished” (John 19:30).
