Future: the time or a period of time following the moment of speaking or writing; time regarded as still to come. Future is also used to refer to what will happen to someone or something in the time to come.

Here Is Your Verse of the Week

ย

Question of the Week

As we head into the future, does the way we perceive worship or the presence of God change?

Our Worship Team Training University Members KNOW …..ย
ย
Time will come and go, but as Scripture says: the Word of God will never fade. His Authority, Godhead, character, righteousness and faithfulness is unchanging.
ย
When Jesus spoke in Mark 13.31 He did not speak about the future to frighten his disciples; no, they are declarations of Godโ€™s fixed purpose; “Heaven and earth shall pass away, at the end of time; but my words shall not pass away (v. 31), not one of these predictions shall fail of a punctual accomplishment.”
ย
As to the end of the world, it’s not for us to question, for no one knows the hour or the day, but how do we prepare for the second coming of Christ. How will our worship change, even though God doesn’t?
ย
What changes about worship over time?
When the state of our world, current events and family circumstances they do affect our worship. They do and they don’t.ย
ย
The future and change is among us and how we respondย  to these events can draw us closer to God, while also shaping our view to a more biblical perspective.
ย
Even as things change in our lifetime, God never changes, nor does the simplicity and responsibility of the heart to worship Him.
ย
What is timeless about worship?
As we read throughout the Bible, the human need for God stays the same. How they and we cry out to God looks different from person to person and from community to community.
ย
Worship, as I talk about in our private Workshops to church worship teams, is simply a response to God according to Scripture: who He is, what He has done, doing and will do. Simply, it’s a response.
ย
This is what makes worship timeless – His constant Sovereignty and that both worship and praise is ordained by God Himself of all of the angels in Heaven and men and women on the earth.
ย
Worship doesn’t begin and end with man; worship begins and ends with God.
ย
As time passes, does the way we perceive the presence of God change?
Sure it does. We live in ever-changing times. Does this mean that we need to adjust the Bible to the current trends, or do we adjust how we live in the world to the Bible?
ย
When we think about the future, we actually see God as constant but also moving. He continues to do a new work within us daily “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Isa. 43.19; and a new song momently “He put a new song in my mouth.” Psalm 40.3
ย

God Holds our Time

Times will change and trends and events will always come and go, but Who stands forever?
ย
Psalm 31.15: “My times are in your hands…”
ย
No matter our future, God holds everything in His hands. Are you letting Him hold both you and your time?
ย
Rest in the future of God today, by trusting His Word and Sovereignty as you respond to Him in true and authentic worship.
