Thanks-Giving

As a worshipper, it is good to give thanks to the Lord! Yes, but how often do we go through an entire day and take everything we have for granted, without acknowledging that every good thing comes from the Father.

Learn how to live a life of thanksgiving as we remember to daily stop and give thanks.

Thank You

We worship God by the standard of Christ, not by the standard of the world. As following worshipers of God, we seek Him because He first sought us. The two words we can use to express our gratitude is “Thank You.” A resentful or hardened heart cannot say thank you, because it only looks at what one does not have. What we do have is all liberty, mercy and grace through Christ.

Discover God Through Thankfulness

But for some, it can’t be touched because there is something underlining in the heart that tells them “no, you can’t allow God to have this.” When we desire to be healed and ready for Jesus to touch all those unwanted parts, we then find what true liberty really is.

We discover who God really is through thankfulness. As Psalm 100:4 tells us, thanksgiving is the beginning of worship. Even in the hard times, God is there, God is good and calls to us saying: “The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.”

Thankfulness Inventory

Can you say “Thank You” for what you have? Let’s take a thankfulness inventory this Thanksgiving season. Make a list of everything that you are thankful for and go through that list every day this week in prayer, thanking God for every good and perfect gift.
